No, currently our data is only U.S. based.
Does the graph data contain any information on children under 13?
No. Our data only contains individuals 18 years of age and older.
Do you use a probabilistic, deterministic or a hybrid approach to matching?
We provide accurate and precise matching, and can match on a household level and/or return both if preferred by the client. We can also match based on Zip +4 or any other geographic identifier. Our TIDs are linked and anchored to a physical address. We use the physical address to define our household. We can match either at address level and delivery all individuals (HH to Individual match), or we can match at the individual level and use the address to identify other members of the household.
What proprietary data sources are leveraged for building your identity graph?
Our identity graph is assembled using over 40 data sources. It is not so much as proprietary data sources, but our proprietary assembly process that yields the most accurate identity graph and capabilities in the industry.
What licensed data sources are leveraged for building the Throtle identity graphs?
We have a network of over 40 different data partners. Data is contracted from various data originators, aggregators, publishers, apps, and more.
How do you determine the difference between an Individual ID and a Household ID?
Throtle provides accurate and precise level matching, and can match on a household level and/or return both if preferred by the client. We can also match based on Zip +4 or any other geographic identifier. Our TIDs are linked and anchored to a physical address. We use the physical address to define our household. We can match either at address level and delivery all individuals (HH to Individual match), or we can match at the individual level and use the address to identify other members of the household.
How do you validate signals for accuracy that are inputted within the graph?
We have a proprietary validation process is place that ensures each data point in our identity graph is validated by confirming it’s the same across multiple independent sources. These sources have been hand-picked and tested rigorously. We also have an external validation process that includes multiple levels of validation. We perform data quality checks, validate, standardize and parse customer data, as well as enhance customer records.

Collaboration and Clean Rooms
What is a data clean room?
Data clean rooms protect healthcare data and personal identifiable information (PII). They keep information safe from threat or misuse, while giving you complete control over what and how information gets shared. FAQs about Identity, the Industry and Related Terms
What is identity resolution?
Identity resolution includes the systems, information and processes to recognizing and locating HCPs and consumers across channels, devices and platforms for marketing and communications purposes.
Identity resolution typically begins with an audience that is selected for the matching process. Individuals are matched using a variety of data (addresses, email addresses, telephone, etc.) to online identifiers that may be used to find those individuals when they are engaging with digital channels and platforms (web sites, social platforms, etc.). Log data is recorded for available channels, and that log data may be matched back to the original audience for measurement.
What is an identity (ID) graph?
An identity or ID graph is a data set that enables the process of identity resolution. It provides a unified view of each individual so that external data sets may be matched to it for data enrichment and marketing.
What are the types of identity resolution approaches?
There are two primary approaches to identity resolution: probabilistic and deterministic. Probabilistic identification utilizes modeling, householding, algorithms or other methodologies at an accepted confidence level to connect data for each individual. Deterministic identification leverages first-party data and other connected data sets to connect information about an individual with 100% confidence.
What is a walled garden?
A walled garden is a term used for a closed-network platform that has complete control over its users, content, media, etc. and may restrict access and data flowing in and out of its “walls.” Examples include Google, Apple, Facebook, Instagram and X (Twitter).
How are cookies used in identity resolution? How will it be impacted if cookies go away?
Cookies are one piece of data that may be used in the identification process to locate an individual online. See more about a cookieless approach here.
What is a “universal ID”?
Universal IDs are utilized to reconcile data at the individual data across many data sets. When a universal ID is available across multiple data sets for each individual, the process to connect the information becomes more reliable and streamlined. Various universal IDs are common in the healthcare space, but most recognized is the NPI or “National Provider Identifier” for healthcare providers.
